Interactive Dichotomous Key MULTIBAND DICHOTOMOUS KEY

COLORANT CALCULATOR / MULTIBAND IMAGING BASED DICHOTOMOUS KEY

This is an in-development key designed to assist in the interpretation of multiband imaging results of colorants on paper. The key guides the user through a series of yes-or-no questions, about the colorant(s) unique response to visible (VIS 380-650nm) ultraviolet fluorescence (UVF - 420-650nm), ultraviolet reflected light (UVR - 320-400nm), and infrared (IR - 780 ~nm [850 peak]).

While this tool can be effective for guiding users toward potential identifications based on observable characteristics, it is essential to recognize the limitations and the inherent uncertainty in the identification process.
